What to Expect

Comprehensive Exam: Your dentist will evaluate your teeth, gums, and bite, and take any necessary digital X-rays to get a full picture of your oral health.
Personalized Plan: If any treatment is needed, we’ll review your options together and answer every question so you feel confident moving forward.
Cleaning (When Possible): If your gums are healthy and time allows, we’ll perform your cleaning the same day. If additional care is needed, we’ll schedule a follow-up visit.

FAQs About Your First Visit

Usually, yes! If your gums are healthy and our schedule allows, we’ll complete your cleaning during your first appointment. If our hygiene schedule is full, or if you need a deeper cleaning, we may schedule a separate visit — that way, you can be seen sooner and still receive the full attention your smile deserves.

Please bring a photo ID, your dental insurance card (if you have one), and a list of any current medications or medical conditions. If you filled out forms online, great — otherwise, we’ll have them ready when you arrive a few minutes early.

Most new patients do. Digital X-rays help us see areas that aren’t visible during a visual exam, allowing us to catch small issues before they become bigger ones.
If you’ve had X-rays taken within the past year, we can request them from your previous dental office so you don’t have to repeat them. Insurance can sometimes be particular about coverage for duplicate X-rays, so we like to check first to avoid any surprises.

Plan for about an hour and a half. That gives us plenty of time to get to know you, take any necessary X-rays, and answer all your questions about your care and next steps.
