Dr. Schmidlkofer and his family moved from Alabama to Illinois in 2010. He graduated from Collinsville High School in Collinsville, IL, and went on to pursue higher education at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, where he received a Bachelor's degree in Biology in 2020. He then continued his education at the Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine, earning his Doctorate of Dental Medicine in 2024. This office marks the beginning of Dr. Schmidlkofer’s professional career, and we are excited to support him in his journey.
Dr. Schmidlkofer is licensed by the state of Illinois and is a proud member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and the Illinois State Dental Society. His commitment to excellence in the field of dentistry is exemplified by his receipt of the American Academy of Oral Medicine Certificate of Merit for Achievement, Proficiency, and Promise in the field of Oral Medicine.
While Dr. Schmidlkofer is continually growing in his practice, he is already proficient in a range of dental procedures including fillings, crowns, dentures, single root endodontics, and extractions. He believes his best skill lies in patient communication, where he excels in making patients feel comfortable and well-informed about their treatment options.
Outside of his professional life, Dr. Schmidlkofer enjoys spending time outdoors, engaging in activities such as hiking, fishing, and boating. He is also deeply committed to giving back to the community. He has volunteered with the Illinois Center for Autism and the Bethalto Special Olympics. During his undergraduate and dental school years, he generously dedicated his time to the "Give Kids a Smile" program, providing dental care to children in need.
